Hive is a fast-growing home technology company seeking a highly trustworthy, detail-driven Lead Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our financial operations. This is a key leadership role for someone who is hands-on, experienced, and committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
About the Role
The Lead Bookkeeper will manage and execute all day-to-day financial functions, including:

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management – entering bills, scheduling payments, and maintaining accurate vendor records.

CFO-Level Duties – forecasting, budgeting, cash-flow management, financial strategy, and executive reporting.

Bank & Account Reconciliations – timely and accurate reconciliation across all accounts each month.

QuickBooks Online Administration – full command of QBO, including reporting, custom rules, classes, and job-costing.

Financial Policy & Internal Controls – creating and maintaining processes that ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency.

Oversight of accounts receivable personnel
This is a supervisory-only role. We are looking for someone who excels in both strategic financial leadership and hands-on execution.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:

Extremely trustworthy, discreet, and dependable

Fluent in accounting best practices (GAAP preferred)

Expert-level in QuickBooks Online
- Highly analytical, organized, and process-driven
- Comfortable producing CFO-level insights while also handling day-to-day accounting tasks
- A proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or similar roles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong background in AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ability to work in the office Monday–Friday

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
