Orange County Low Voltage Technician
- Install, troubleshoot, test and repair of low voltage systems.
- Install necessary interior and exterior wiring for equipment.
- Rough and trim new construction homes.
- Attending training, workshops, in-services, and continuing education as requested by the department supervisor.
- Maintain records of work performed.
- Perform physical requirements with reasonable accommodations.
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance in the workplace.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year or more of related work experience.
- The ability to follow Oral and/ or written direction
- Knowledge and ability to use smart phone applications
- Must provide his/ her own tools
- Previous experience on constructions sites
- Valid and current driver's license
- Must have a reliable source of transportation
Employee in this position must have/be able to:
- Lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs at waist height for short distances.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of trade tools.
- Walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Bend at the waist, kneel, crawl, crouch and stoop.
- Reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
- Climb ladders and work from heights.
- Drive 1-2 hours per day.
