Structure Wire Technician

A Prewire Technician for our Scottsdale location, who provides infrastructure installation for use in low-voltage systems; audio, video, high-end shades, lighting, and climate control systems in residential projects. You will be a vital member of the team responsible for the initial phase of the Home Automation projects, laying down the foundation with the wiring of new and retrofit homes.
The ideal candidate will understand signal flow, attention to detail, meticulousness, ability to execute a plan precisely to detail and flexible nature. They also demonstrates an attitude, work ethic, and skills represent that our core values of top-notch customer service, high quality installation, and strong trade partner relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Run low voltage wiring for Residential AV and custom integration systems
- Pull, terminate, and label various types of low voltage cables, including data, audio, video, and control cables.
- Document completed work, including wiring diagrams, test results, and any modifications made during the pre-wiring process.
- Understand the basic function of wiring and termination components being installed, awareness of common equipment and systems applications; knowledgeable of how various automation systems work
- Design and install with an emphasis on organized cable management
- Repair and replace existing wiring and fixtures
- Must feel comfortable with climbing ladders, working in attics and confined areas
- Must maintain a clean work environment while onsite and respect builder-specific site requirements
- Must be able to perform all duties required of the position in extreme heat in the Summer season, and accomodate earlier start times due to heat.
- Able to install and test the operations of all equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal verification required to establish service
- Able to maintain a good relationship with all trades on the jobsite, especially homebuilders.
- Customer Service Experience: A must! As you can see our customers are #1 and we need someone who can take care of them, and treat them as such.
- Attitude and Aptitude: Are key! We need someone who is eager to learn and comes to work ready to tackle any situation.
- Electrical: Knowledge of the industry or other trade construction exposure is strongly preferred. However, if you haven't gotten the opportunity to gain much experience, but have a passion for the industry and are driven to succeed, there could still be a place for you on our team.
- You must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time; run, walk, stoop, crawl, and climb ladders, while tolerating heights as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Exceptional hearing and eyesight
