Apprentice Electrician/ Electrical Trainee - Start in Warehouse for 6 months

We are looking for someone who wants to be an electrical trainee, who is not afraid to start at the bottom and learn all areas of the business.
Our Electrical Trainees start in the Warehouse and after 6 months progress to an in-field position.
While in the warehouse you get an opportunity to learn about the business the products and all the parts and pieces that are used on a regular basis in the field. You also get to assist electricians on the job from time to time when an extra set of hands is needed.

LIGHTWORKS believes in training and development of its personnel. So we have teamed with WECA to provide you with an Electrical Trainee program that can get you qualified to Journeyman status.
LIGHTWORKS is prepared to pay for your training with a few small conditions that will be discussed in the interview process.
Here is what is required in the warehouse role.
Job Title: Warehouse Associate with Deliveries
Reports to: Production Manager
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all receiving, and warehouse management. They will report directly to the Production Manager and works closely with the Project Managers and the Purchasing Coordinator to determine what needs to be received and staged.
Roles:
• Receiving all product that has been ordered and shipped through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and all TL/LTL and other couriers
• The Warehouse Associate will maintain the warehouse's cleanliness and product placement. This means having all product that has been received placed in appropriate job start piles for ease of access and delivery on project deployment. (Rough/Trim/Finish/Punch/Service)
• Maintaining vendor relationships through effective communication and handling shipment disputes in a reasonable manner.
• Deliver and Collect Materials from Vendors and drop off to job sites as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all product is ready to go for the day on the day two days prior to it being needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the warehouse area
- Forecast product needs by looking at upcoming projects on a 10-business day cycle.
- Coordinate recycling needs for faulty equipment as well as recyclables.
- Communicate with the appropriate personnel to find out what is needed for certain stages of a project.
- Maintain adequate levels of stock items for quick turn-around projects and in the event, something was overlooked during purchasing/deployment.
- Ensure the product pick list is completed post-purchasing and pre-deployment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Some experience in warehouse/operations positions.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Great relationship management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Extremely effective time-management skills.
- Mental capacity to handle pressure.
- Ability to work on your feet 40-50% of your day.
- Capability to lift up to 100-pound items, as needed.
- Clean CA driver’s license
- Minimum of 3 years driving experience
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Prior experience in Word, Outlook and Excel A MUST.
