Alarm Technician

Full Time • Westhampton Beach
  • Work effectively and efficiently under daily direction by your Field Manager as it relates to any rough, trim and/or finish phases of all assigned projects and service calls.
  • Report back to Field Manager on all end of day daily progress/changes/issues/material requests, hand in any meeting notes, completed time sheets and signed work tickets.
  • Keep assigned company van clean and organized.
  • Required to be on an after-hours service call rotation including holidays and weekends.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, client representatives, cooperative trades and subcontractors in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Work in construction environments during all seasons and being exposed to the elements of weather.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell alarm panels.
  • Installing, testing, troubleshooting and supporting alarm systems on-site and/or remotely.
  • Properly commission, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair alarm systems.
  • Properly install prewire phase (wire pulling, snaking, rough-in boxes) cables, wiring, structured cabling, connectors, structural hardware and electronic equipment for the following is a plus:
  • Networking (routers, switches, WAPs)
  • Security systems & CCTV systems. * At times may be required to:
  • Travel to job site locations outside of the normal work area for several days.
  • Work overtime as required to meet project schedule requirements.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds and aerial work platforms and lift heavy objects.
  • Conform to SDC Standards and Practices.
  • Providing user training on installed systems.
  • Pursue ongoing technical training and certifications.
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
